My wedding planner has arranged for my family to do a food tasting for the event catering? Would this be free?
I’m just not sure if I’ll have to pay for it and I certainly don’t want any more added expenses to the already big number I am looking at, especially if we end up going through a lot of these events before we finally like the food and end up choosing the vendor. I am embarrassed to ask the planner – I don’t want her to think I’m being really cheap…
taster answers:
Usually the tasting is inclusive, but by all means ask the planner. She’s your employee, and her role here is not just to help you plan, it’s to help save you money. If you’re afraid of seeming ‘cheap’ to her, you could end up paying for a whole mess of things you don’t want or need, so get that out of your head. Good luck!

Sharon asks…
What kind of food should I bring to the vineyard wine tasting?
I’m surprising my husband for his birthday by bringing him to a vineyard with live music and wine tasting. We can sit at a table and bring our own food. We don’t have time to go out to dinner before or after the event, so I was thinking of bringing takeout. Any ideas for good foods to go with the wine?
taster answers:
Maybe a salad….a ceasar or spaghetti salad, cheeses, maybe some shrimp.

Can anyone give me tips for decorating/designing my table in a food event?
I’m joining a taste test event and I’m serving 1000 samples of bite-sized chocolate chip cookies
taster answers:
You could put maggot infested dog turds on it! That would be festive : )

Linda asks…
i tried a ravioli like thing and it tasted like it had cheese or maby mashed potatoes inside?
a while ago i went to international food tasting event it said it was from poland
taster answers:
It’s a pierogie! They’re dumplings filled with mashed potatoes, sometimes cheese, sometimes with other fillings, too. They sell them in frozen bags in the supermarket, and you can bake them in the oven or fry them in butter. Try them with spicy polska kielbasa sausage!
